I have been a teacher in L.A. Unified's Division of Adult and Career Education since 1996, where I've taught reading, ESL, study skills, high school diploma, and high school equivalency classes. For the last several years, I've been working in our school's counseling department as the academic pathway advisor.  My main focus is helping students reach the goals they have set for themselves at our school and the same time providing guidance about postsecondary options.
