Getting Hired Sure Has Changed!
Instructors teaching job skills or Career Technical Education instructors need to give students a sense of confidence in their skills.  This workshop enables teachers to help identify students'  technical skills and gives them tips on using the most prominent soft skills.  Used together, these skills ensure a better interview.  

When participants leave this workshop, they will have been exposed to:
Tips about resume format, job applications, searching in the right places, and cover letters
Types of job opportunities during Covid 19.

This session will explore the Los Angeles Public Library's place and role at the intersection of adult education, family literacy, and digital equity in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic. The discussion will highlight how these connections impact communities low-literacy adults and other under-served groups.

Attendees will gain an understanding of how adult education, family literacy, and digital equity intersect at the library and ways you can connect adults and their families to supportive services outside of your classroom.
