This webinar will offer insight on how to effectively use the Canvas LMS and demonstrate the newly created Ready-Made Canvas Shells that support our Stand Out series.
These shells will make your instruction more efficient and organized.
The Stand Out Shells include:

• Self-grading “Activate Prior Knowledge” exercises to informally assess your student’s prior knowledge of the topic  
• Practice Quizzes
• Additional Worksheets that they can type in and submit
• Embedded videos comprehension questions and Discussion Boards

Who knew that "necessity is the mother of invention" would define 2020?  Yet, it has. You've been building the airplane (education delivery model) for our new reality while you've been flying it (teaching); and so have we.  We have free resources and new ways of testing to share with you.

GEDTS has researched the web for other creative ideas and platforms for communicating, teaching, and followings up with students to share with educators and administrators to help them be more effective to reach their students. Sharing these new ideas and methods, as well as the enhanced tools we have for free at GEDTS to support students and educators are all things that can be taken and used in the classroom. From innovative free platforms to prepare virtual instruction videos to the Online Proctored GED test, we will show how a continuum of services for the virtual classroom can be maintained. A handout will be prepared to download the website links to the services discussed so teacher will have a handy reference sheet.
