Jonathan Schaeffer is a licensed nurse, EMT, and Career Technical Education advisor with the LAUSD Division of Adult and Career Education. He has been working in the healthcare industry since 1993 and has been a secondary and post-secondary educator since 2005. After moving to Indiana in 2010, Jonathan joined the St. Joseph Township Fire Department and worked as a first responder and EMS clinical educator. In 2012, he returned to Los Angeles, taking leadership roles with a number of large ambulance providers. Jonathan also returned to the LAUSD and re-started the EMT program at the NVOC campus. In 2017, Jonathan began his involvement with SkillsUSA, and brought the EMT competitive event to the parent organization. Today, Jonathan is a founding member of the SkillsUSA EMT National Technical Committee and Chairman for the SkillsUSA California EMT competitive events.
