A Picture (or video)'s Worth a Thousand Words

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

Give ESL students of all levels short videos and images that have been tested in the classroom and on Schoology to illustrate specific grammar points and generate interesting discussions. Let's meet the first female mechanic in Nigeria and watch the students discuss the jobs women usually have in their native countries or equality in the workforce or their first job. These media provides meaningful practice for students to construct their own understanding of new grammatical concepts and current issues. They say an image is worth a thousand words, but only if the image is rich enough in meaning. We've curated the web to give you those thousand words. Please find our resources in this shared Google Drive Folder link.
